A new story is emerging, where organisations behave less like machines and more like living systems

Leadership that brings organisations to life

Organisations behave like living systems when they are open, adaptive, interconnected and continually self‑organising. They maintain coherence through flows of energy, information and relationships.

The challenges we see across organisations

In every organisation we are invited to work with, we find familiar challenges sitting just beneath the surface:

  • Retention and Engagement: Losing talent is weakening performance

  • Leadership Gaps: Leadership quality is impeding strategy execution

  • AI Anxiety: Work is changing faster than people can adapt

  • Culture Drift: The hybrid working culture is eroding cohesion

  • Cross-Functional Friction: Misalignment is slowing the business

  • Burnout and Wellbeing: Exhaustion is reducing retention

  • Manager Overload: Managers are becoming bottlenecks

These challenges are not signs of failure; they’re signs of an organisation wanting to become alive.

When organisations come alive, people do too

In a world shaped by volatility and complexity, the organisations that thrive are those that behave like living systems. They succeed not through tight control but through responsiveness, interdependence and continual renewal. Imagine an organisation where:

  •  Information moves like nutrients in an ecosystem

  •  Teams self-organise around purpose

  •  Feedback loops strengthen learning

  •  People feel part of something that grows because of them

When organisations embrace their nature as living systems, change becomes a capacity to cultivate, teams grow more resilient, cultures become more human and leadership becomes a shared, generative force.

Become a Living Systems Organisation

Services

We help leaders unlock their organisation’s living potential. Through our services, we support organisations to shift from mechanical thinking to living systems intelligence. This shift enables them to become more responsive, more human and more capable of thriving in complexity.

Participate in Leadership Research

We are offering an Immersive Leadership Encounter Programme, a two-day residential experience set in the natural surroundings of Emerson College.

This immersive programme is designed to support leaders in developing the awareness, capability and resilience needed to navigate increasingly volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environments.

Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to ongoing research exploring the impact of immersive, nature-based leadership development, should they wish to opt in.

Dates: 19th–20th September 2026

Price: ÂŁ200 (for board and lodging)
Venue: Emerson College, East Sussex, UK

Our Story

Our own journeys, grounded in psychology, coaching, organisational learning, and lived leadership experience, brought us together around a shared insight:

Our Approach

Our work is guided by the Integrated Systems Coaching Framework, a holistic approach that integrates the natural world and systems thinking to foster leader, team and organisational development.

Everything we do is supported by a strong foundation of research evidence.

From this foundation, we generate new insights that we share through our academic writing and ongoing studies.
